Pure Food Gardens

Some people have a knack for making things. My mate Dan is one of those people.

Dan and I quit our jobs at about the same time to embark on a journey of self employment. To say Dan has a green thumb would be an understatement. Dan planted a veggie garden in the back of our share house when we used to live together that rivalled the output of the local farmers market.

Dan setup his company Pure Food Gardens and quickly got to work using his food growing knowledge to create wonderful, productive oases in people’s backyards, transforming unused space into practical living gardens. Chook-runs setup under fruit trees, water run-offs feeding into garden beds, nothing goes to waste in a beautifully self replenishing cycle.

Last year I went along to see one of Dan’s backyard transformations and took my camera along with me. I was humbled yet again to see what he had created.

These days Dan is working with other materials. Wood mainly. Still making things, he definitely hasn’t lost his knack.

Fine Art Books

There’s something magical about printed photos.
Seeing your photos on a screen is one thing. Holding them in your hands being able to feel them is quite another.
I recommend to all my couples to consider getting their photos printed into a book. I design beautiful fine art books that are hand bound and printed on the highest quality matte art paper. They really are something beautiful.
